Sacked Referee Coote Denies Indecent Child Image Charge

Former Premier League referee David Coote has pleaded not blameworthy to a complaint of making an indecent image of a child.

The 43-year-old was charged pursuing an investigation by Nottinghamshire Police.

The unit said nan allegation related to a video record recovered by officers successful February.

Ex-official Mr Coote, of Woodhill Road successful Collingham, Nottinghamshire, appeared astatine Nottingham Magistrates' Court connected Thursday.

He was granted conditional bail and is owed to look astatine Nottingham Crown Court connected 9 October.
